The Cradle Weight - Weights For Swimbaits

The Cradle Weight - Weights For Swimbaits
by: ThePrincipal 2008

With all the hype and talk about plastic swimbaits over the last year, it’s hard too imagine an angler not giving one a try. By now, most of us have heard of the infamous Basstrix Paddle Tail Tube that exploded across the tournament scene last year. The Paddle Tail quickly became one of the most sought after baits on the market in 2007, and with good reason, it flat-out catches fish. Since then, other companies have began to produce their own versions to satisfy the demand of anglers seeking out this hot new bait.

Finding the right way to rig this bait with weight is a completely different ballgame. Anglers are somewhat limited in how to add that weight, still have the right action and not destroy that expensive new Paddle Tail their using. Many anglers are using weighted hooks to add some weight but, rigging one of those sure takes its toll on that soft plastic. I’m not saying they aren’t great because they do just what anglers want and fill the need to weight that bait.

Another great method anglers are using is the Mojo Slipshot Weight System. This method doesn’t interfere with the action and allows the angler to use their hook of choice. The Mojo Slip Shot gained alot of press years ago when it was written up and featured in Bassmaster magazine.

Parasite Weights has just recently released another new product called “The Cradle Weight” designed specifically for soft-plastic swimbaits and other related baits. Weighting a swimbait will now be as easy as adding a Parasite Clip and offer anglers yet another “No-Slip Solution” to baits being pulled down the hook, at the same time adding weight to their soft-plastic swimbaits. The new Cradle Weight is now available online at Parasite Weights and will also be available at all the BPS stores when the Spring Sale rolls around next week.

Cradle Weight

Having been behind the swimbait curve and only dabbling with them last year. I really look forward to getting out and giving this new Cradle Weight a try this season with some Paddle Tails. This new item from Parasite Weights is yet another “no-brainer” imo. Already being a firm believer in the Parasite Systems, this new Cradle Weight has got to be another hassle and money saver. I personally save too much money using Parasite products, why stop now.
